Tee-Ball

Doug and I have talked about the boys playing baseball since before they were born. In fact, we already mentally have them drafted and playing as the 1st twins on the same MLB team, specifically the ATL Braves. No pressure, boys.
We were excited to learn most local parks have a 3/4 tee-ball league, so we have counted down to the time when they were eligible. This is it. We signed them up about a month ago and yesterday we got the call from their coach telling us our team (thankful they are on the same team…that could have led to some time issues) and that our colors are green and white (no official name yet, but we are thinking the As) and we got to pick their numbers, which we have discussed in the past, but seemed like such a major decision when asked yesterday. We decided on 1 and 2, with B being 1 since he was 1st born.  We are also blessed that with Doug’s recent lateral promotion with schedule change at work, he should now make every practice and game (I must say is a relief because when we signed them up I thought I would be the main parent in this and now he gets to be more involved).

A couple of weekends ago we went to Academy and bought their new matching cleats and a tee and bat to practice with.  They could not get home soon enough to begin practicing (major fits thrown inside of the store to play right there).  Here are some pics from their first “practice” (I think they did really well, Saw has a rocket of a throwing arm on him):
