The boys understood the concept of Halloween this year. Mommy prepped them for days about going door to door and saying trick or treat and getting candy in their buckets in return. They were very excited about the candy part. We started out at the usual local church trunk-or-treat, which was insanely packed this year. So packed that in between bouncy houses Braddock got separated from us. With the help of Cassie (Doug and Bryant were getting coffee at the time), a random lady from across the parking lot returned Braddock. 1. How on earth did he get so far so fast? 2. How did she know to return him to us? Literally, the place was shoulder to shoulder people. So after a minor freak out by this momma, I have decided that unless the boys are super well behaved next year we will stick to neighborhood trick or treating. After that fiasco, we went to our neighborhood to do the old-fashioned trick-or-treating. The boys, along with Chan and El, ruled the nhood with their skills. They no longer need Mommy to escort them to each door, or to knock on the doors. They are professional trick-or-treaters.
The only downfall was coming home at 9pm and them wanting to eat all of their candy. They both had gotten sick on the ride home from school from eating so much at their school Halloween party.
