Doug’s goal was to fish on Father’s Day. That did not happen as his fishing buddies had fathers day plans of their own, but in a few years he will have 2 very eager fishing buddies. Instead, we stayed home and had some good family time. Doug spent Saturday helping a friend move so it was nice to have everyone at home Sunday. While Doug slept-in (until 7:45) me and the boys left and bought him breakfast. Then he kept the boys while I ran to Wal-Mart. It was nice to get some groceries with no time restraint or no toddler ripping into everything in the buggy. I am by no means Suzie Homemaker, but I was able to cook 2 of Doug’s favorite meals on Father’s Day. I cooked baked spaghetti for lunch and meatloaf for dinner. We let him take a nice long nap with NASCAR on tv (seriously, the perfect Sunday nap) while we swam out back. In the end he was very happy with the amazing day.
