It’s not everyday you walk out to your car after work and hear a big time movie being made with a big time movie star such as Harrison Ford, especially when your work is located in Birmingham, Alabama.  But that is exactly what happened to me on Wednesday afternoon.  They are filming a movie titled “48” about baseball legend Jackie Robinson in our great city.  The last few days they have filmed at historical Rickwood Field, and that is what I heard Wednesday afternoon, crowds cheering and a director over a loud speaker.  Today they are shutting down a street by the Alabama Theater to do some filming.  With technology these days (ie Avatar), I just assumed they never have to leaveHollywoodto film a movie anymore.
