Week in Review

We survived another week without Daddy…he was in Georgia for work.  We somehow managed without him:)  We played at the nhood playground:

We decided that since it was such a crazy week for us that we would stay near home for the weekend.

Friday night we took the boys for their 1st Hooters experience.  It actually ended up being 1 of the best places we have eaten as far as a toddler friendly environment goes.  It is so loud inside that no one hears my boys use their outside-voices inside:)

Saturday something happened to me that hasn’t happened to me in a long time: I got to take a NAP! Actually, the entire family took about a 2 hour nap, and it was ah-ma-zing!  This never happened when I worked 6 day weeks.  I felt like a new woman after we napped, but the only negative was that it took away 2 hours of our play time that day.  After our nap, we went to another local park and played (Aunt Mimi and Uncle Derek stopped by to see us play) and then went to the wonderful Wal-Mart that has the rides inside of it.  That place is such a blessing for 2 toddlers that are SO OVER shopping by the time that checking out roles around.  Daddy plays with them in the play room while Mommy takes care of business, including buying them a new pool.  We finished the night with grilling outside.

Sunday we tried a new church, Jeff and Katrina’s church to be exact.  We went to their less-busy early contemporary service, and the boys even did well in the nursery since there was not tons of other kids around to overwhelm them.  It is also only 10 minutes from home, which is a huge help with getting 2 toddlers ready for church.  We ate lunch with J and K after church, then came home and had a mini-waterpark set up, and Chandler and Elliot (and parents) came to play with us.  They played outside until almost bedtime.  Now another weekend is here and I a ready for it:)

Greeting Daddy at the door (having a blast with his luggage):

Eating after church (as soon as I put the biscuit in front of Sawyer, this is what he did with it, and of course Braddock had to do the same):

Water Fun:

Checking out the sprinkler:

Braddock choosing to play in the muddy water instead of the pool or sprinkler:

Action shot (love the water rainbow in this pic):

Love how Braddock’s muscles are in this pic…he is “bowed up” from the cold water:
