I ended up working another 6 day work week this week, but after I got off work Saturday we made to best of the rest of the weekend. After I left work, I met Doug and Aunt CoCo and the boys in Alabaster to look at a camper for sale. We are hoping the boys are to the age that camping will be fun for them. Last weekend, my off weekend, we spent half the day Saturday traveling looking at various campers. We decided that we wanted to go smaller (but still have a bathroom and air conditioning/heating) so that we could store things in the camper such as bikes and power wheels (which adds to the weight). It has been difficult to find the right size for the right price. We could actually buy a much larger camper for less money, but we didn’t want to be limited in what we could take with us as we travel. That would be raining on the vacation-parade. Doug has big travel plans for us, like camping near Stone Mountain and attending Braves baseball games, camping at the beach (I am still not gung-ho on that idea), etc. I realize I am in the minority as gender goes so I will have to become a tougher person because of it. I think I will get plenty of enjoyment with our future camping endeavors. I mean, what’s not to love about seeing my children happy and enjoying myself making smores by a campfire (my kids and chocolate for myself are always a win-win)? So we bought the camper in Alabaster…and that is where my next post will pick up-
Here is our new addition:
Of course the next day once we all got home Doug spent time cleaning and washing our new “home away from home”
